XESL latest news
2010
has been an extremely busy and successful year for XESL. Firstly, our crew travelled a total of 43,000 miles supporting the most prestigious F1 Team throughout the European racing season, reporting absolutely no damage from any driver, yet again. We also provided vehicle and crew support to the Team for helping with their showcar fleet. The cars look fantastic, with or without stage lights!
Talking stages, XESL have recently invested in brand new "Lite-Deck" staging systems, complete with new trussing and LED lighting systems. We represented SKODA UK at the prestigious FleetNews 50 Dinner, where we displayed four cars from the current Skoda line up, including the IRC Championship winning S2000 car, as pictured. Excellent positive feedback was received from all at Skoda UK, as well as from other parties within the VW Group. Watch this space for more displays during 2011.

On the UK front, we represented Skoda Retailers throughout the UK, including a visit to Guernsey. What a wonderful Island, even if we did take the rain with us! We also supported Skoda UK at many large events, including IRC Rally of Scotland, Company Car in Action, Greenfleet and the Skoda Brand Awareness Week at Millbrook Proving Ground. With a huge amount of awards won this year for the brand, we are proud and excited to be representing Skoda UK. Well done guys.
Mr Asahi is still proving to be a success, pouring beer and opening bottles throughout the UK, capturing much press attention wherever he lands. Being so popular everywhere is a problem, as we know he will be missed whilst we take him to Hong Kong in January. Watch for pictures.
Most recently, we have had to resist the temptation of self-indulgence, as XESL supported a highly successful Ripple promotion tour throughout the UK. All stock was delivered to our central warehouse in North Oxfordshire, and from there, we were able to provide 24/7 fulfillment support to the sampling teams located throughout the UK. Recent snows provided us with no excuse, as our six-fleet of LandRover Defender 4x4's provided the perfect solution in any weather!
To top this busy year, we have just provided Production Management and crew support to a Nickleodeon Winners Party at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire. It was a change to work so locally. XESL oversaw all themed zones present, including a ten metre replica of Gulliver (see left), depicting the real face of the character played by Jack Black. Other zones including an "Art Tent" where the lucky winners could express themselves by painting a large canvas of Gulliver. Giant games such as table football, Guitar Hero's, Kerplunk, Jenga, Twister were also enjoyed by the children and their families, followed by a "giant's" banquet with a surprise appearance by Gulliver himself, Mr Black. What a HUGE successful day and thoroughly enjoyed by all winners, family and crew!
Back at home, we have relocated our main warehouse to a more suitable building only 200metres away. Apart from installing new toilet and rest areas for all staff, we have also installed new workshop facilities. Due to this investment, we have found ourselves being rewarded with an immediate fabrication project involving much equipment from one of the leading event catering companies. Watch out for updates from the workshop, as the diversity of items being produced at present is vast, ranging from Rally trailer refurbishments to "Despicable Me" characters!
For 2011, we have new build projects which are due for completion early February, keeping us busy throughout the winter months. Investment in new vehicles will be undertaken, as well as completing new storage facilities within the warehouse.
Everyone at XESL are very much looking forward to a busy year with all clients in 2011.
